The Second Chance No-Kill Shelter is the only no-kill shelter in the central Texas area. Located near Fort Hood, the shelter has become the home for the pets of many US Servicemen.
Right now, the shelter's built for 90 occupants and is providing for over 300 animals. At the current rate of growth, the shelter will be housing over 400 animals by 2009.
